PARK AVENUE, NEW YORK

Residential

Set in an iconic Rafael Viñoly-designed Manhattan address, this residential project merges a clear design vision with a brief for a practical, g home.

At the heart of it all is an impressive art collection sourced and curated by Nebihe Cihan Studio in collaboration with the client, based on the remarkable views afforded by the home’s significant window space. This assemblage includes sculptures by British artists Sir Tony Cragg and Richard Deacon, paintings by Idris Khan and a neon installation by Welsh conceptual artist Cerith Wyn Evans. Here, the studio created a space that allowed such pieces to be showcased without contradicting the warm, elegant tone that was integral to the overarching design concept. The outcome was achieved through the careful crafting of a minimalist concept, where clean lines punctuated by simple, elegant layers of texture and a muted colour palette unify for a luxurious, light filled space that is equally conducive to everyday living as it is to the display of high impact art. This duality is further compounded by a proliferation of light and uninterrupted panoramas of the city skyline for memorable views of both the inside and outside of this stunning home.
